My name is Sam Mayo. I’m from Corpus Christi, Texas but have really been fortunate to live in lots of places; Delaware, California, Denmark, D.C., and now England! I’ve just moved to London to start my journey to becoming at a veterinarian with the Royal Veterinary College. I did my undergraduate degree in Environmental Analysis at Scripps College and I’ve always loved animals. My long term goals are to pursue wildlife health as a veterinarian and I’m particularly interested in thinking about One Health applications of veterinary medicine and its intersection with conservation and climate change action. I love to learn and more importantly, sharing what I learn. Though I am a science girl, I can’t imagine myself without art and literature. So this is where all of it gets to live together; my writing, my photography, my space to share what I learn, and everything in between.
